A look back at the year that everything changed

Phoenix and Mesa are back to regular hours after the holidays. Our Grand Canyon University location reopens on January 6 at 6:00 PM.

Cheers to a wild 2025 - here’s what happened:

• Novel was ranked the #1 ice cream shop in the United States by Yelp’s 2025 Best Ice Cream list. Article.

• We launched a full service Ice Cream Truck, opened a permanent Grand Canyon University shop, and announced upcoming locations- including historic Tempe spot (former House of Tricks) opening in 2026. Phoenix New Times

• Our team grew to 27 incredible people, with plans to reach 37–40 by the end of the year.

• We partnered with some of our favorite local brands and people, including Proof Bread, Wren House, State Forty Eight, Frontier Airlines, Bschnuez, and Chewk’s Cookies.

• Novel pints landed in Monsoon Market, Air Guitar, and our Vanilla on the Huarachi’s dessert menu.

• We crossed 4,000 total reviews across Google, Yelp, and Facebook, maintaining a 4.9-star average.

And this is just the beginning. After 8 years, this past year felt less like a milestone and more like a starting line.
